I grew up in Muskegon and can’t wait to see this film. It is a story that begs to be told about a town that had the world’s largest grey metal foundry right smack in the middle of town! Along with all the negative aspects that this implies…Muskegon employed alot of people that otherwise might not have been unemployed. Anyway, I’m excited to see the film and the way it handles the delicate issues that must be dealt with in a story as compelling as this one.

I wanted to know if the film festival is still going on and where will it be?

I would like to purchase quality, thoughtful, well-produced films from the African Diaspora. I am sooooooooooooo bored with canned media.

  9. Looks very interesting, cant wait to see this film and the sisters perspective on so many issues…

This looks very interesting. Though I would like to point out that Barack Obama’s mother is originally of European ancestry from Kansas, USA. Not of Hawaiian ethnicity. His parents met while attending Hawaii University. I like the fact that Barack Obama has lived in Indonesia and is a “child” of Africa. He has a more worldly view than our previous white and upper-class ( and therefore out of touch with the masses) presidents.

    Hope you’ll join us October 13th @ 7pm

  12. rebecca says:

I see both October 13 and October 15 as the date this is showing. Is it showing both dates?

  13. Travis says:

I loved this movie. A different look on Black Life! Thank you.
